I am just messing around with some of my users. Not collectables or anything precious, except to me.
I am curious about tricks to make cold bluing look "cooler", if you will. I know to warm the steel, and to make sure the blade has no oil, finger prints, etc on it. I use carborator cleaner, then pour boiling water over the blade to heat it/remove what is left of the carb cleaner. This worked on the past ones that I have done.
I heard that mayonase makes it look like it has a patina. Any comments, suggestions, anticdotes??
Thanks,
Dave
