I was indoors today and wiped down some of the knives. I thought I might as well share. Some of these have been seen before.

Nice pics, glade to see some schrades and saks in there! What is the second knife down, third row from the left in the Big picture? Looks schrade-ish.

That one is a wood handled stockman from sears, there is a smaller version under the bubblegum colored russlock (second row from the right, 4th one down)

What's the micro knife that is 2 below the CASE Sunfish/Elephant Toenail?
Really well-rounded collection there!

Quite and eclectic collection Ed T. Who made the little tuxedo style knife (2nd from bottom right side of last photo)? Thanks for posting that.

Very nice collection. BTW with wind chill right now it is -5 degrees up here.

The little tuxedo like knife is unmarked. It is an interesting little knife, but not a very high quality one.

wow, Ed T , you have a super collection.
i came to this post from the old Camillus camper knife offer when i saw you had a jade congress to trade..
i am steeping back from my offer for the Camillus. i cant top your list.
good luck.
trade with you someday though. you got some nice ones. i do have a few older pocket knives that might interest you.
buzz
man you do have a nice selection

In the third pic down, you have an Old Timer. Do you have any spec information on that knife? I received it as a gift from my Greatgrandfather on his passing, but I never knew much about it. I don't typically carry it as I would DIE if I ever lost it (plus it is a little rusty from my Greadgranddad's days), but I would like to know a little more about it if you could help!

How about that butter and molasses with tipped bolsters in the first column. Who made that one?

It is a souvenier knife from Longmont, Colorado (hardly visible). The main blade is stamped KEN, NY City

Is that an Imperial Ireland fish knife I see in the third pic? I've been watching those on ebay for a while. PM me if you are interested in selling.

Hi Moose,
The Old Timer stockman knives are the classic hardware store knife. I used to spend a lot of time in Back's Hardware staring at the knife display.

They are a very common knife with carbon blades that could be kept very very sharp. Over time, they pick up the nice darkening of the steel (patina).
Unfortunately, the company went under and now the new ones are not made to the same standards. (diplomatic enough?)

I think most of the posters here could tell a story that includes dad or grandad's Old Timer or Uncle Henry.
