Khukuris arriving here in the midwest may have come into a warm room (like at the local PO) after being out in the Winter cold. This can result in condensation and spotting on non "stainless" blades. This may look alarming if not experienced before but can be easily removed with metal polish.

Bruise, I have had them on all finishes of "carbon steel" and on an ATS 34 "stainless" blade -- not on 440C, BG-42, VG-10 (solid or laminated to 420J), or S30V. I've used four diffferent polished, and they all removed the sopts easily.
