Cold Steel’s Toughest Fixed Blade & Toughest Folder

Just want some opinions on the 2 models you think best represent Cold Steel’s reputation for selling affordable and tough knives. For me it’s the following:
Folder: Recon 1
Fixed Blade: SRK

yeah, I'd say most of the tri-ads. pick the one ya like....... and 3v warcraft has to be top of the hill.

Yeah , I could have gone with these just as well . For absolute toughness alone .

Especially a 3V TM . But I don't personally have either one and I'm also doubtful about the "value " factor , if you had to go out and buy today .

Objectively it has to be the 3V Trailmaster (assuming these actually happen) and 4max. As far as the Cold Steel spirit, that being absurdly strong knives at an unbelievable price, I would say the OP nails it. You could substitute others in there to suit your personal preference, the Voyagers for example,, but the SRK and Recon1 exemplify that Cold Steel spirit very well.

I have a couple of 4 Max Scouts. I think I would break before they would. I like them, they are strong, but still have good cutting geometry. The only thing I don't like is the weight.

From my collection I would go with the SR1 clip point and the GI Tanto.

Out of what I own, would probably go with SMIII Trail Master, and AD-10.

Keeping "affordable" in mind from the OP, probably SRK and 4 -Max Scout.

I have a Cold Steel AK-47 that is one tough folder. For fixed blades, I have to say the Warcraft Tanto fills the bill quite well.

Oh yeah, that AK-47 is underrated. Love mine.

Of the Steels I own, I’d say the toughest are the Recon Tanto and Spartan. If I break ‘em, it reflects more on my stupidity than the knife’s limits.

In the "folder-class" I'll have to go with the 4 MAX, and SR1. Two tough-customers.
