I just talked to someone at Cold Steel, and they say they're expecting to get their first shipments of the 2011 knives sometime around May. I just thought some of you might like to know.

Have a good day, everyone.

I'm not a HUGE CS fan, however I'm looking forward to the new G10 XL espada, just for its sheer ridiculousness. I can't wait.

lol, I called on Friday asking the same thing. Got same answer.

Haven't been this excited about a knife since my Demko reblade

Gladius won't be till June though, I think same with g10 espadas.

The guy told me the late April/early May shipment is going to be the Voyagers, Hold-outs, and Counterpoints, and some other stuff.

I'm most excited about the new Voyagers, to be honest. The XL Voyager is almost a better version of the L Espada, for my purposes.

In any case, FFG blades with Tri-Ad locks look like fun.

my thoughts exactly gomipile.

And I never had one of the old voyagers, but the new ones look like they will be more comfortable in the hand, due to the large finger choils.

Some nice looking stuff, but what's with the boomerang? They say they improved on the boomerang by making a non-returning version? Isn't that just a heavy stick?

It's like an unbreakable rabbit stick. I mean, real weaponized boomerangs are not returnable. I certainly wouldn't want it coming back to me with the same strength I threw it.

Haha lol. Get that and the walking stick and you'll have a winning combination.

If you do a little research on hunting and warfare boomerangs you'll find that none of them were returning items. We've all just latched onto the novelty of the returning boomerang because it's so much more interesting to us as outsiders of the cultures that used them. In India you can even find bladed steel boomerangs.

The whole point of throwing a weaponized boomerang at someone is for THEM to catch it--not you! :D

Looking foward to the new Voyagers. This is despite the fact that they've neglected to offer them in satin finish. I'll probably wind up paying someone to put the finish I want on them & post the pics like a few have with the Recons. Anything to stem the tide of cheap, tacky finishes.

I have the Axe Gang Trainer and Leatherneck Trainer. I am getting that darn Boomerang when it comes out!

I'm thinking the Voyagers should be winners for sure I've had pretty good luck with the triad-lock.

I'm really looking forward to the new reasonably priced G10 Espadas. I already have the large older model and now I'm going to get the XL. I'm also going to buy the SK5 Natchez ,the Pilum, the Gladius machete, the XL tanto voyageur... I actually already have way too many CS items but they keep coming out with such cool stuff that no one else offers. [oh yeah! the axe gang hatchet as well]

May sounds good. As others here I`m looking forward to the g10 xl espada.

Agreed, spectacular knife.

The only possible changes I would want, would be a steel upgrade (VG-1 or sanmaiIII or something), a satin/stonewash finish, and possibly steel liners..

but I think I would be asking too much, I doubt CS would do any of these, because it would not be cost effective, and I think their target audience would not appreciate the differences, especially at the price mark-up

I certainly would appreciate it though :D
