Hi,
Does anyone have an idea of when the 4 max will be released? It's a 2015 product... That isn't out as we are in 2016. I am waiting for it and it's a bit of a let down to wait that long for a knife...

Its not that bad, its like waiting for a Demko Custom that you don't have to pay up front for.

for the record you dont have to pay me up front either, However some 4max will be available soon

Pologies. Thats the danger of assuming. Well, the 4Max is a pretty glorious thing, and the point of my comment is truly that I don't mind waiting on this one. As long as it takes. This goes for any future product of the Custom Classics line. Theres a good thought.

Cool, love your designs and I'm really looking forward to this knife. As an aside, my Sensei attended an Aikido seminar a little while back and he met/ practiced with your father, I believe. When he told me he practiced with Andrew Demko, I was take aback--then I realized it wasn't you. He said good things about your dad's Aikido.

Keep up the great work--I have one of your (CS) knives in my pocket right now, and I'm looking forward to the 4max.

Best,
Anthony

Thanks to the op for asking and Andrew for answering I am really looking forward to one of these putting fund together now I will say with this venture I think getting it right is key so take all the time that's needed.

De nada :p, i'm looking forward to grab one! I fear it's gonna be monstrous big and it won't get carried much, but I want it anw :p

If you consider a knife with a four inch blade to be monstrously big, there's nothing we can do for you. I guess you could hope they come out with a mini version in a few years. Assuming the monstrously big one sells well. Myself, since I have several of Cold Steel's monstrously big knives (6 inch or bigger blade), I think a four inch bladed knife is miniscule. It's on the small end of what I prefer. LOL!!!

I plan on it being my #1 purchase at Blade show, so hopefully they will have a few at the booth.

I live in Canada... I would carry bigger blades, but if it's too big you can get in trouble here :/. But hey, everyone has his tastes, I generaly prefer the lawman for carry.

I live in Canada too.
Cops had no issue with a 5 inch blade Voyager.
Most of my carry knives hover around the 4 inch blade length...I find much less than that and I don't like it much.

This is how I feel about blade length as well, generally speaking. It's just what I like, though I'm cool with carrying smaller blades along with a roughly 4" blade. I often carry a Recon 1 and a SAK; the latter comes out around the sheeple, although they still seem rather squeamish around them. Just a few hours ago I used my SAK to cut open a bag around a couple coworkers, who asked me "who are you planning to stab with that?". A SAK. I hate my generation sometimes.

Who are these sheeple you speak of and where do they come from.

I live in Oklahoma, whre you can carry a gun concealed or openly. Yet, for some odd reason, if I choose to carry a small fixed blade on my belt, I get that same shit. "Who you planning on killing today with that knife on your belt?"

Sheeple? They're everywhere. Sad fact of life.

I've pulled out all sorts of knives at work, ranging from budget Kershaws to XL Voyagers to a 5.11 karambit. The only comments I ever got are things like "cool knife" or "what kinda knife is that?", along with one comment on an assisted opener "sweet knife man but better watch out around cops, they see you with a switchblade you'll be in trouble"(this was back before autos became legal here, so I just told him the difference between assisted and auto).

Fixed Blade knife shaming needs to end! *heart bleeds*
