I picked up one of these a couple weeks ago just to keep around in a backpack as a heavy duty folder. Most of my folding knives are bm balis or smaller ones like a delica or dozier. For the most part I'm satisfied with the knife, except for the lock. I havent seen anyone mention this in other reviews or descriptions, so I'm wondering if mine might be defective. I can't disengage the lock with one finger. I have to pull down on both sides of the lock to disengage it. Does it just need some time to loosen up or is it designed this way?

I just got one too, it does need finger and thumb to release, the design seems to be this way so you can pull down the lock then flick the knife open. I like it but am nervous as to just how secure and stong this lock is.

The lock on my AK47 would stick some during the first couple month of use. After some lubrication and break-in though, it did get to the point where I could move it much easier. Same went for my Recon-1 folder. The lock is very strong based on my experience.
