Yep. Totally doable with the right size Torx driver. The pins are shouldered so that they stay in place when the handle slabs are placed on either side. just take out all of the screws and everything comes apart. Goes back together fairly easy too.

Excellent! Just what I wanted to hear.
I guess designers wanted solid pins there and for them to bear on the full thickness of the handle material, strong stuff.
