I believe are made in the same factory. I had noticed the Rat-1A I had, had the same exact G-10 as my new Lawman. They both use a combination of bronze and teflon washers, have (I believe) the same black coating, the Taiwan stamp on the blades are identical; same font, and they are both AUS-8. Just an interesting discovery, not to mention they are both well made.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if there were other brands made there in the same factory too.

I have found the quality to be very good.

I forget the name of the factory that does the RAT and Utilitac lines, but I know Cold Steel uses a few different ones. I wouldn't doubt it seeing as the factory that does Ontario's knives doesn't sell, they just contract. They do a damn fine job too.
