I recently picked up an excellent condition CS ATC. It's a Carbon V stamped with Ventura, Cali. Can anyone tell me anything about this piece? I see LTC's around, infrequently, and they sell for quite a bit of change. Is this knife rare? Were they produced in limited quantities? How does it compare to the LTC? Thanks for all your responses in advance.

Carbon V is no longer available.

The ATC is thicker than the LTC and yes they are pretty rare and in demand.

Used to own 2 (one in stainless, the other in Carbon V.)

IMO, they are OK, but not exceptional kukri's.

Liked the 1/4" thickness and fine satin polish.

However, the checkered kraton handles were horrible when it comes to blisters, and the flat-ground profile tended to bind in wood---at least in my case.

If you want to keep it as a collectible, don't change anything, if it's a user, I'd advise you to re-handle it.

Wow, it's in mint condition, original grind, man this think has some heft!

I'll post some pix sooner..
