Anyone have any luck with this subhilt fighter? Has anyone put it to real extreme use? Really curious before I spend $200. Thanks

it seems to me that from what ive read that most people o this forum dont like them for a few reasons...ive had a few cold steel knives and they seem have rusted after sitting for a while as opposed to my benchmades that havent....

First off, I like cold steel unlike many people around here. I've handled one at a gunshow and it seemed to be pretty solid and was sharp as hell. It is double edged and will penetrate very well. At least for me, it was very comfortable to hold and was quick in the hand. I hope this helps.

It might help to declare what extreme uses you plan for it. Subhilt fighters are generally considered self defense "fighting" knives with limited utility applications. The subhilt itself is copied from a much older design, Loveless I believe, and was a custom. It pops up marketed toward younger buyers who like the looks but don't know the utility is compromised by the actual subhilt itself, the blade grind, and other factors that aren't found on designs for actual hard use knives.
