Cold Steel Blade Coatings?

Can anyone tell me, please, what is the difference between the coating on my CS Bushman and the coating on my SRK? Both are great knives, but the coating on the more expensive (SRK) has worn much faster than on my cheapo Bushman.

All of my Cold Steel models were bought long ago, so the coatings they use may have changed...

That said, my Carbon V SRK was simply black paint (took it off with normal paint remover.)

My bushman however, appears to have a phosphate/parkerized finish.
