saw this on walmart.....

it's cheap so that's good....but is it good to have cheap 3cr13 steel made knives with your formerly high quality yet affordable brand name on them....guess we'll see

what other box store special runs are out there that y'all have seen?

I dont think its a fake.....this isn't a 3rd party sellers deal. its Walmart themselves.....I filter out those 3rd party sellers.....

looks like gsm is making box store type Chinese made knafs. we already saw the gerber machete copy deal for that other box store. appears this is for walmart.....
 
Can't say I'm surprised to see this with how GSM has been running things and putting out products that you can find from other brands. GSM is doing to Cold Steel what happened to Camillus and Schrade when their brand names were bought. Waiting for them to come out with a generic Swiss army knife now.

in fairness I saw cabelas in Canada has a Chinese made knaf under the Buck name now. called a 768..which is ironic as that was a fake number used by fake Buck chinese makers in the past. Buck also under cjs leadership was having chinese import models made for walmart for years...so this isn't a first........
 
That is, hands down, the nicest looking knife Cold Steel has ever made. I'm quite pleased to see they are choosing to improve the steel quality as well. That infernal problem with dulling the blade due to sheath materials is a thing of the past too! Well done GSM!!!

I was thinking I would get a GSM tattoo on my forehead, in hopes that they will fund my reality TV show idea - "Knife Fight" - a modern day WWF approach to the combative arts. Stickman, help a fellow out - put in a good word for me!
 
Wally World often sells their really low end knives packaged in clam shell as gifts during the Holiday season. You’ll see a bunch of them out in the aisles at the Sporting Goods section. This particular 2 pack knife set seems to fit in that category.
