Are there any cold steel fans out there who would be as happy as me if they decided to bring back the Bush Ranger. I've carried one for quite some time now and would love to see it returned so I could get another one......Just curious.....

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago, but sold it a couple of days ago. It's a nice , light knife for it's size. Very comfortable.

I have one that has never been used. Ive been debating on keeping it or selling it. I did touch it up with a ceramic stick.
Made in Japan.

That's all the love the Bush Ranger gets, I thought it had more fans:(
(looks around then sadly walks out of thread)

I too love the bush ranger. AT first I thought it was too thin, but after using it for awhile along with other knives of that blade length, I came to love that knife. I think most knives of that size are made with the blades too thick for what most of us use knives for. The bush ranger is a great balance of size vs weight. Mine is in Carbon V. I would like to get one in stainless but they are pretty expensive when they come up on ebay. I wish I bought a bunch of them when they were available years ago as close-out sales from cold steel.

I think the Bush Ranger is a totally undervalued knife. I have three of them. One I got in a trade and is a little worn so I use it for a beater/trainer. The second one I bought from Cold Steel and edc'd it for several years. I bought my third one from a friend who was liquidating stock. The interesting thing about this last one was that the clip was fractions of an inch longer than any other BR I have ever seen. It really enhanced the combat usage of the knife and I carried it until I decided I really didn't want to take a chance on loosing it. So it's been retired and I've replaced it with a Cold Steel OSS.

If Lynn Thompson reads this...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the Bush Ranger!!!

Yeah I wish they brought it back in Carbon V too. Pity the market prefers .25" prybars rather than 3/16" wide flat slicers like the CS Bush Ranger. I've seen a couple in New Zealand asking for around $USD250.

GOD I HATE MYSELF!!! I got rid of mine a few years ago so that I could get a Sog Seal Pup Elite. Big mistake on my part. The AUS8A Bush Ranger was the best bowie knife I ever owned. :(

Bush Ranger lovers unite!! Send waves of e-mails crashing into the cold steel customer service computer and make your demands heard!! PREPARE FOR GLORY!!

But on a serious note, it really did quite well for itself. Mine has seen everythng from wood to flesh and bone. A rare triumph for cold steel, it would be nice to get it back...

If enough customers requested it, I could see it happening. Afterall, they brought back the Outdorsman due to customer requests.

Regards,

I would think that they would bring it back at some point in the future. I am surprised that they never brought out a larger (9" or more) version too.

I know nothing about the knife in question. But, Im am a Cold Steel fan. I like the Hate they get from others, reminds me of the GLOCK hate. ;)

Anyways my Cold Steel knives have served their purpose and served them well.
