Handle is made from a hickory sapling that I cut down with this bowie.Rough cut and shaped, then dried it for 5 days, rough sanded and did 10 coats of the "tung oil".
Inserted into bushman handle, wrapped with water proof camo duct tape, then wrapped in digi paracord to tie it altogether...and the paracord lanyard of course.
Very crude, cheap way to do it I suppose, but it is rock solid.I love the way it feels and has 10X more control than before.
Sheath SUCKS,wish I had other options.EDIT-As soon as I posted the handle pics ,I done this to the sheath and it turned out good I think.
Took off back/factory belt loop and added my own. Also added the leg lanyard.
Left 2 loops in front to hang stuff from/tie stuff too if need be,or "locked",to help knife ride better in sheath, like shown here...
Any ideas on how to improve this or add to it? Besides being a better craftsman of course
