I've been seaching the threads, looking at all of the awsome knives with patinas on them. seeing all of these makes me want to try it with my cold steel bushman. the bushman is my only high carbon blade at the moment. I just want to see if anyone has done it before and if anyone could give me some tips. like how much vinegar/mustard and for how long it should be on the blade?

And does anyone have some tips to removing the teflon coating on the blade. its taking a while with wet'n'dry.

Get some paint stripper, follow the directions on the bottle.
For the patina, start slow. Put some mustard or vinegar on the blade for a few minutes. Wash it off, and see if you like the results. You can always put in on for a more time.
Do a search here or in Google for forced patina, you'll be amazed how much info is out there.
