cold steel bushman

Cheap, simple, VERY tough, a good bet as a backup or truck knife.

The Ka-Bar is a classic for a good reason, like the Air Force Survival, it is a proven hard-use, rough country camp knife.

i've had my Bushman for about 16 years, kept it in the back of the truck, had it on countless hikes, hunts, camps, cut, pry, baton, dig, and thrown it as a spear (for practice). Toughest knife you'll ever own, and at the price of the knife, buy two if you think you can break it!

Major thumbs up for the Bushman.

However, i like the classic looks on the KBAR and respect it's heritage, but i sold mine. the leather washers "shunk" or something, after a while, the hilt got loose so i had to wrap coreless paracord between the hilt and the leather washers to stop the rattling.

my advice, FWIW, if you get a KBAR get one that has the synthetic grip.

Best to you & Your's ! ---- Eric

I have 2- a Mini-Bushman and a custom re-done Bushman. It is a very rugged knife and the price is excellent. The Mini-Bushman came with a leather sheath that is nicer material than the full size model's- but even that one is serviceable.
