Anyone have one? The more I look at this knife the more I love it. I had a Hatamoto which was fantastic, but too large for an EDC. The quality was fantastic, and the San Mai III blade... Can anyone link me to a write up here as I cannot find one? Thanks, opinions welcome! :D

You'd be much better off spending your money on something else IMHO. Cold steels' high end knives are waaay overpriced for what you get. If your gonna spend 250 dollars on a knife get a ZT 301 or somthing of the sort instead.....again, IMO.

The CS custom line are very very fine knives and worth what you find them for on ebay, no problem. Retail well I don't pay retail for any knife. I have owned a Caledonian and wished I never sold it was that good of knife. As good as ANY folder I have owned to date and I kid you not. But it is a singular purpose blade and I needed the dough. I still have a Hatamoto too and it is about as nice of a folder as any I currently own and again I speak from experience. I'll tell ya this my Hatamoto has liner slippage, through no fault of its own. Again this knife has never ever failed the spine whack hit at the end of the blade even as it is now. The lock just doesn't collapse on it. Can't say that about other blades that have developed play in them. So there ya go. keepem sharp

I've purchased about a hundred knives via ebay, so no worries about paying retail, it'd never happen.
Anyone else own this fine folder or can link me to a discussion thread here? Thanks.

I also own a Hatamoto and Black Talon and they are very solid knives, like was posted above don't pay retail for them.

i have one & have carried it on & off for about 2 years. real needle point tip, ive pulled out splinters with it a few times. very solid feel & lockup.i got it for 190.00 at the time.its a real nice folder.its like an older benchmade spike on steroids..

Hey Goldie, I'm from LI too. Where can I get it for that price? haha. I've not seen it for under 230 from anyone reliable.

I got mine form about $230. Very solid knife...very well done. Can't find much to fault about it except as a defensive knife it's a bit slick with its polished micarta and thumb stud. Bought mine on eBay.
