Hi,
I have an older voyager and broke the clip off. Any idea where I could buy a new clip for it?
Thanks for your help.
Todd

If you call Cold Steel, they will probably send you a new clip for a small fee....if they have it.

An older Voyager with the molded-in clip? If so, your pretty much out-of-luck. You could jsut get any old clip, drill two or three small holes in the plastic and attach it with two or three small self-tapping screws.

It depends how old the Voyager is. We may have some old clips in stock. Please call our customer services team. They will do their best to help you

Thanks guys. No it isn't that old, it has the 3 screws, just doesn't have that newer handle design.

Please let us know what kind of service you get from Cold Steel. I personally am sick of hearing them being bashed.

I'll share my similar story.

I have a Recon 1 that I didn't have a left handed clip for (they are curved)

I called and talked to a gentleman, don't remember his name. He set up an account over the phone and placed my order for a new clip. I asked for a set of short screws ( the Recon 1 has two different sizes, longer on the side that actually holds the clip) and he said he'd ask to have a set thrown in with my order.

I have one of the original Voyagers with a 4" tanto blade. The molded clip broke off of that while I was at work one day. I ended up taking a file to the clip area and made it smooth with the rest of the handle. Now it is real slim, and it is still kickin' and still being carried to this day by me. It is one of my favorite folders.

I've encountered a different problem... A while ago I broke off the clip on my old school Scimitar folder, and it was some years untill I could get a new clip. Earlier this year, after I received a bew clip in the mail that I ordered, problem: the holes don't quite line up, but two of the three do somewhat, so I thought, what the heck, I'll go ahead and attach it with the two that DO line up. What happened next? The stupid new kind of screws (torx by the way, wasn't ready for that curve ball) were too long, and before I realized this I had almost completely stripped out the holes in the Zytel handle. :( And my knife is now clip-less. I wish they hadn't changed the clip design to be only fractions of an inch different or made the screws longer. :-/ I guess I should have payed closer attention. Oh and I also rounded off my new T6 torx driver trying to put those screws in. The bummer is that the clip for the scimitars are the same as the clip and screws of the previous generation of Voyagers (I know because my favorite EDC, after the Scimitar, is my 5" plain clip XL Voyager), and how hard would it have been to leave them in production the way they were. Not a big deal, I won't bother customer service (not sure what they would do about it anyway) but I'm still bummed because I thought I was receiving a new clip that WOULD FIT my beloved Scimitar, and it facilitated me ruining my prized first Cold Steel folder. :-( just make sure when dealing with customer service to ask about this potential problem.
