Hey bros and ladybros,

In the long time I've spent lurking BF and the short time I've spent posting, I've seen fan clubs for KAI Corporation, Spyderco, etc.

Why don't we start a Cold Steel club? We wouldn't have any shortage of members, that's for sure. :D The Cold Steel forum may be fairly new to BF, but Cold Steel has been around and producing some of the world's best weapons and tools for quite a long time.

Good idea or no?

If this thread can generate enough enthusiasm (meaning more than one or two pages) then it would be worth pursuing. There seems to be alot of CS fans out there. Spark, owner of Bladeforums, will of course have to approve of this and allow it to proceed.

I would sign up. I have passed on all of the other groups but I would definitley sign up for a cold steel club. I have owned many Cold steel knives and have been very impressed with them.

I'm sure if we are able to generate the enthusiasm (I'm not too worried about that, Cold Steel has built a huge following over the 35 years they've been making some of the best knives) and promote a cordial, respectful relationship with everyone on BF, we shouldn't have any trouble getting Spark's approval.

What's interesting is that no matter what knives are found in most private collections you can always count on finding a CS or two in the mix (whether it's folders or fixed blades). Like most, I have everything you can imagine (Busse & family, Chris Reeve, Fallkniven, ESEE, Bark River, Becker and on and on), but right now in the console of my truck rests an SRK. It was in fact, the first decent knife I purchased many years back.

I hear you. My first decent knife was a GI Tanto. Now I have more Cold Steel knives than any other brand.

I hope this thread (and idea!) will survive. I got involved about three years ago or so with DawsonBob, Moose, and a couple of others and we started the Becker forum. I had just joined Bladeforums after checking it out for awhile and I'm glad I did.

Cold Steel opened a whole new edged tool world to me. They sit amongst my mostly Busse and ZT group of users. I would join.

Headed to bed but I will check back in tomorrow morning to see if we can keep the interest going.

BTW, I owned CS long before I even knew who Jerry Busse, Mick Strider and Chris Reeve were!!!

i be down to join this club..love coldsteel,an always have,,like RABII said i owned coldsteel knives before i got into the other knife brands..

Just checking back in to see if we can keep the interest going on this CS project.

Mine certainly won't fade. It'l take some time, but I don't think we will have a problem with interest.

Im in! Cold Steel is what started my crazy knife addiction lol I still remember opening my 4' Zytel Ti-Lite like yesterday....

ATTENTION EVERYONE!

I would like to direct everyone here who wishes to show their support to this thread. I did not see it when making this thread, it is the original Cold Steel fan group thread. Let's make it happen!
