Cold Steel Counterpoint XL?

No clue, but it's not unheard of for some CS products to be delayed to the very end of the model year or even the beginning of the following year. Hopefully they'll be here in time for Xmas.

I have the other models and love them. Hope to get this one as well. Already made a horizontal sheath for it. Pretty frustrating when there is a release date and it doesn't happen. Heard rumors that it is because of lock and pivot issues. Is this true? Do we need to wait for the second version? Thanks.

IPretty frustrating when there is a release date and it doesn't happen.

Umm, it's not a case of there being a release date and it doesn't happen, it's a case that there flat out hasn't BEEN a release date yet, just "2013". You still have 4 months potentially. They still have several 2013 models they haven't released(the Royal Kukri just started shipping, the Smatchet still isn't out yet either), no reason to assume it's due to a problem, they're just staggering releases.

I thought that since many of the dealers have "Available July 2013" they would have gotten that info from Cold Steel. Seems weird they would all put that as a available date. Also one dealer had said September "Availabily" because of a fine tuning a problem. That is why I asked the question. In hopes that Cold Steel Knives would clearify it for me.

We announce our new line up at the beginning of each year - the products are then released throughout that year
We have several new items that are still due for release (including the XL Counter Point)
To my knowledge there are no setbacks in production. I'm just waiting on a release date.
I don't have a date on the Smatchet either
I'm eagerly awaiting both :)

Many dealers just post "estimates". July is mid-year, so that's a go-to "estimated release date" for tons of things. You'll find the same thing on video game dealers that haven't set a release date. They're usually "available" in summer, then if summer rolls around and there's no release date announced yet, they usually list "November".

OOC though, what dealers are you talking about? BladeHQ doesn't have an estimate, Knifecenter just says "expected September 2013" which is not a confirmed date("expected"), and doesn't mention a fine tuning problem, Amazon doesn't have it listed at all, a couple of other non-BF registered dealer I went to just say "Not Available"...
