Seems I have had a spate of broken knives lately, with the accompanying threads on service level. I have yet to be disappointed!

Cold Steel takes their share of hard knocks here, but I just had a problem that I asked for help with one of their products, and without going into too much detail, they went above & beyond and really did right by me. Another satisfied (and likely to be repeat) customer.

I have a friend who thought that he would try to find out if the Trailmaster would make a good thrower. On the 3rd throw, the blade broke about 1" from the handle.

He sent the pieces back to Cold Steel along with a description of how the knife was broken. I told him that this probably be considered abuse, and they may not be able to help him out. A week or 2 goes by and much to his suprise, a brand new Trailmaster is waiting for him after work. He opens the box, and they also included a new Tuff-Lite for his trouble!

Now that is what I call service! Needless to say, my friend is a VERY happy and repeat customer!:D

RH andH2O -- both cases sound like excellent service.

H2O, can we assume that the Trailmaster was the SS model?

A new TM AND a TuffLite ?!?

All of a sudden I'm not as satisfied as I thought I was... :(

...then again, my product was not a higher end one like the TM.

(still) satisfied customer!

Bugs,

I honestly do not remember which model it was. I am pretty sure it wasn't the San Mai, but Carbon V or AUS6A should have been tougher than that. Either way, they went was above what I expected that they would.
