I bought a Cold Steel Scimitar about 6 months ago and am happy with the knife overall....It has done everything I have asked of it and I feel I got a decent deal and a good knife. I recieved a Demo CD with the knife that has been sitting in the box all this time and I watched it for the first time last night.
Horror upon Horrors the guy in the demo punched a Scimitar thru the hood of a car WITHOUT any hand protection...No Kevlar glove, no chain mail glove, nothing but bare skin and bones. He does this with several models of Cold Steel Knives....Now I realize he had time to weld the liner locks or block them from closing but in a real situation if the lock slipped you would be picking up your fingers off the floor..Actually someone else would, cuz you wouldn't have any fingers to pick them up with.
I realize he is stating he has ultimate trust in his knives but he could at least say in the demo, don't try this at home....Sorry I had to vent....
