Well I finally took the steps to get the CS DVD. After hearing and reading about it for years I wanted to check it out. I really didn’t think it was so bad. I didn’t think it was over the top at all. Yes it was a little bit used car salesmanship but not much. I've seen alot worse. I thought it looked like a lot of fun to do and make. I guess I don’t understand how it brings up so much emotion. It’s basically a sales tool and it’s not like anyone has to pay to get the DVD.

Its entertaining. I have two of the DVDs myself. Lynn is fun to watch if nothing else. On the one I have where he is blowing darts at toy soldiers using those blow guns its hilarious. I can't believe he taped that and put it in there. It was kind of bogus but whaterver.

Most of the line up of knives they sell are pretty tough but his pricing has really spiked as of late. It used to be that they were a bigger better deal in the industry but that has changed a good bit now in my opinion. I'm sure some of them are still a deal though. The Ultimate Hunter folder for example is a fine steal of a very good deal for a heavy duty knife but ones like the Black Sable and those others are just priced way high in my opinion and other than the blade steel they really don't bring anything else to the table to justify that price point; not in my mind anyway.

I can't say anything bad about the CS DVD's, they won''t cost you anything but your time to watch them. Entertainment with a knife as the main subject, what's not to love here. My wife happened to catch the junk yard scene when Lynn and company were demonstrating tomahawk vs. car hood and chucking torpedos through car windows. She doesn't get it by the way. The latest DVD is tame compared to the original- IMHO.

You gotta love the PROOF DVDs. They were free entertainment in college. At first, somebody would walk into our common room and say, "What the heck are you watching?" After about five minutes, they'd be making popcorn. Watching those khukuris going through tatami mats like butter... great stuff. Of course, I'd never make a purchasing decision based off their displays. Is it irresponsible to advertise this way? Probably. But such advertising is practically universal in our world.

They're kinda like a Ginsu knife commercial on steroids. And somewhat entertaining. After about fifteen minutes, I can only watch someone do the same tricks over and over again so much.

yep... the video sucks. No more Cold Steal for me. Heheheh.:barf: :barf: :barf:
