I'm ordering one of these from www.eknifeworks.com / SMKW for $19.99 ;
I was wondering what you forumite(s) thought of these Nogales clip point series folders? I particularly like the "recurve" blade shape:)
and ergonomic handle. While I would have prefered serration(s) the plain edge will do me fine. Opinions?

A.E.T.

I don't have an El Lobo, but I do have the larger plain edge El Hombre.
The El Hombre stong points, include its overall fit and finish, out of the box sharpness, very good nonpremium steel (AUS8), and light weight (due mainly to the Zylel handles).
Ergonomics are so-so IMHO, the handles are comfortable, but tend to twist a bit in my grip, the thumb studs are a little too close to the handle for me. The steel pocket clip allows the El Hombre to ride comfortably in pocket, but a good bit of the handle is visible, so everyone can tell it's a knife. The blade was very stiff opening out of the box, but after a couple of days of breakin and some lube, it opened acceptably, but it is still on the stiff side.
The recurve blade shape is something I am still forming an opinion on. It dose work great in the kitchen for such things as quartering oranges, but I found it very difficult to cut a seatbelt on a junk car.
For $20 I don't think you can go too far wrong with the El Lobo.

I have a Cold Steel Vaquero Grande, and I LOVE that blade-shape!.:).
