Cold Steel espada XL real or fake

So a guy is selling espada XL. And I am questioning its authenticity. The knife has no steel specifications on it and I dont know enough about them if this was the case in the early days, as he says the knife is a few years old. He claims he paid 700$ worth of Norwegian kroners back then. And I feel that is a bit much as well.

No idea about the actual worth/price on said knife but I picked up an older espada XL years ago and it also did not have any steel markings on the side either. Just speculation, but I’m not sure if (the time before we had such a selection of steels) they branded the knife with the steel back then
 
Those are lousy photos. If they are the only pictures being supplied, I'd proceed with caution because you really aren't seeing the entire knife. That said, from what I can see it looks legitimate. The early Espadas did not have the steel type printed on the blade.
