Cold Steel Fake?

Hey guys,
I just bought a large and medium Espada off of Knifecenter. If you look at the pictures on their product pages, the pocket clips have a hole right through the middle, but on the XL and every video I've ever seen of the large and medium, the pocket clip is solid and has Cold Steel written on it. Did I just buy an older/newer model or did I just buy a fake?

Can any owners of the knife let me know about the pocket clips on their Espadas?

Thanks!

If you bought from Knife Center then I'm sure you got the real thing. I have purchased several knives from them. They have good prices, are great to work with, and have been around the knife game for quite some time. No worries mate.

The picture displayed may be of the prototype. The videos or more recent images feature a production model. You also purchased from a reputable dealer so you'll deffinately be getting the real deal.

Yeah. You shouldn't have to worry about it. Sometimes the websites get a stock picture from a first run, or a prototype, and use that. What you get is the current one. There is a kershaw knife that has this issue as well. It would be cool if the websites opened up one of each knife and got some good different angle pictures for us.

Specifically on the pocket clip, the older Cold Steel pocket clips on the American Lawman had a slot down the middle. On the newer versions of the knife, the pocket clip now is solid without a cutout and instead has the Cold Steel name stamped on it.
So probably Knifecenter just had a picture of an earlier version of your knife on their website.

Like others said, if you ordered from knifecenter I wouldn't be worried. Good attention to detail though and keep those things in mind when ordering from new sites

Not meaning this towards the op, I commend you on your attention to detail most people are not that aware. But..
Not to sound snotty but am I the only one who thinks faking cold steel is kinda pointless? I mean ok if the real thing is made by flunkouts from the beijing primary school/nike factory who would make fakes of them? Prisoners in gitmo? Hey this might be a way we could get some payback. lets make knockoffs of chinese knockoffs using terrorist prisoner labor. This could be payback time :)

I agree with my mates here, Knife Center would never sell a fake. They're a great place to deal with and some of the best prices also.

You should actually have the knife in your possession before posting like this. I'm in agreement regarding Knife Center's integrity, but get the knife before worrying and posting. If you even checked Good Bad & Ugly section you'd know that they're solid. The newest stock photos from CS website show a solid nickel or chrome plate clip.
