...got on the wagon of selling flat slabs of steel with cord-wrapped handles:
http://www.coldsteel.com/80ft.html

With their habit of selling really low-end stainless knives with rubber handles for so long ("sub zero quench" boot knives), it's weird that they waited so long to go after this popular trend.

On the bright side, they are selling them for 50-90% less than some other brands. But I think they might be made in China (I read somewhere they would have new carbon steel blades from China), so $30 isn't exactly a low price for a leaf spring.

Looks like a good candidate for a beater test.

Oh uh uhuh I'm posting before it gets ugly, this is a first for me :0)
I usually don't get to a threat of this kind before its 3 Page's long and fairly nasty.
So in short- YAY for me.

Oh and to keep this knife related, I'd buy that coldsteel knife before buying.... errrr other knifes that look like it.

CS has been selling a cord wrapped throwing knife for about 15- 20 years IIRC. It is known as the True Flight Thrower. A new version is out, but the same design has been used for a long time. Where were you hiding Carl?:D

Carl! What say you, we keep this thread under tight wraps just so folks won't get so wound up this time around?

For $30 retail, that thing doesn't look bad, at all  It would be a very simple matter to slap some G-10 or Micarta slabs on it, too.

Oh brother. Here we go, dragging this dead horse up again. I wonder/hope that the OP is a joke, just to see how many posts we can get into this thing. I guess I took the bait. How many of these threads are there now? Anyone keeping score?
