Cold Steel Great Sword Failure

I love Tosh, but man that wasnt the smartest place to have a camera man. Thats like asking a guy to stand behind the Bulls Eye while I shoot my 357 at it.

I love watching the big guy from cold steel demonstrating with their knives and swords....I laugh so hard every time... :D

So true...The funny part is he's probably on here from time to time and will read that post.

Great video. Wish I watched tosh.0 for stuff like that.

That's hilarious, lucky no one was hurt. This should be the automatic reply to any post asking about buying a cold steel.

You're right; the automatic response should be "keep Tosh away from the knives!!!"

Ha, "Even the simplest of precautions (such as eye protection) were overlooked."

Go back and watch the original video and notice how many times the demonstrator isnt wearing saftey glasses.

BTW a correction needs to be made. Seems Tosh and Cold Steel have said that the "handle broke" In reality the handle was fine, it was the pommel that snapped off.

I know most people want a sword constructed to be historically correct.
I personally would like a more secure or permanent way of attaching the handle and pommel. But thats just me.

With a pommeled sword like that the best way to secure the pommel is most the historical way.

I mostly make swords for stage combat mostly and for those they have to able to stand up to daily steel on steel abuse. For that I choose to both peen and weld the pommel on.

Sorry about that

Good for them! +1 for them getting it yanked because of copyright infringement.

Cheers

I wouldn't think they would pull it. I had no inclination to purchase that sword before I saw the video. Now I am thinking of it. It's time for a new coffee pot.
