I am close to buying this and I was searching around for a cold steel sub forum to see if there was info I could get on it. Welp, looks like there isnt a sub forum so here I am :)

Anyway I wanted to know if any of you out there have forced or any natural patinas to show off? Or pictures of your CS SK-5 kukri you'd like to show off. How is the stock sheath? Custom kydex sheaths?

Also wanted to know how yall recommend putting an edge on this? I have a Smith's Edge Eater, is that a good way one would touch up or put an edge on this - with a hand stone? I doubt this would fit on my Wicked Edge.

Thanks

check'd their website.

haha, you know I have been wanting to get in to straight edge shaving. Perhaps the Gurkha kukri can pull double duty. :D

The stock sheath is awesome. The Bladetech (I belive that's who makes it) sheaths are very tough. The design is great. I wish I had one for every khuk I own. The steel seems very good also. I haven't needed to sharpen mine. I recently wrapped my handle with paracord and it made it feel much better and hand-filling, but I haven't really used it since the wrap. Only time will tell. Overall, it's a great knife. If you like khukuri, you should also try traditional HI khukuri. I think you'll be very happy with both. Good luck!
