SOLD>>>>>>>>>>>PICS ADDED....Price Drop!!!!!!!!! Free Shipping!!!!! Hey guys. I have for sale a Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri blade made out of San Mai lll steel. Yes, this is the expensive real one that goes for $649. However, its just the blade and the Kydex sheath from the factory. This is BRAND NEW. The only thing is I removed the handle a little while ago, as the rubber is VERY prone to cause blisters....Also, since the knife cost me $600 and change, i figured that this was the PERFECT knife to make my little project, and put a more deserving handle on it. The blade is full tang(stick tang with a big, i think 1/2" talon hole at the bottom). Because of the fact that I still can't decide what handle material to use for this one, I have still yet to finish this knife. I have been doing a lot more work lately, and just haven't had the time to get to this. Again, the blade is EXACTLY FROM THE FACTORY!!!! NO SCRATCHES OR DAMAGE AT ALL FROM REMOVING THE HANDLE, as a matter of fact it came off very easy. If i don't get a reasonable offer on this, I will take it off and hold her until i get the time to finish it. This blade is absolutely beautiful, and the "hamon line" is very evident on this one. Truly, a remarkable blade. For more info on it, go to ColdSteelknives.com and watch the video on this amazing knife!
I am looking to get at least $300!!!!!! for the blade, or very close to it. I will take some pics of it when I get some time, probably tomorrow. again, it is the blade, and the kydex sheath from the factory. I even have the old handle, if you decided that you wanted to form the handles exactly the same shape and dimensions as the rubber one! This is the PERFECT project for someone that wants a truly amazing blade that you can make your own handle for.....and trust me, this knife NEEDS IT!!!! The rubber neoprene handle just takes so much away from this gorgeous blade.
I will take care of shipping priority CONUS. Paypal preferred(you can mark as "gift" so you don't have to pay fees if you want) or a postal Money order. IF using MO, as soon as I have the money in my account, I will ship her right out! You can PM me or write "I'll take it" here. Thanks.
Here are the pics. They came out crappy, i had to use my phone, but you get the idea. Like Brand new, no damage or dings or anything. The only thing this cut was air! There are very small kydex scuffs on it, camera probably can't pick it up. Very small, just from putting it in the kydex sheath. Enjoy the pics.

Yes, but you would have to pay the extra shipping. If you find out how much and willing to pay the shipping, then yes, i will ship it there.

Thanks Mr Weglarz, pleasure doing business with you. I will post pics of it with the new handle as soon as it is finished.

Thanks Dave, the blade arrived this morning and I am very pleased with it. :D
As soon as the handle is done I will post some pictures on here, should be about 2 weeks or so. I am really looking forward to seeing the end result!

You can just see the hamon running up from the handle in this one

Over 1/4 inch thick for some serious chopping power!

The handle is complete and it looks and feels great! Here are the pictures as promised. Enjoy :)

Wow!
you did a phenomenal job on the handle!
nice work - and good to see someone could do justice to the blade.
you should post those pics in the general forum.

very nice work, good hand fit there. I've got a pair of the older Gurkha's and have never been able to get used to the rubberized handles on them.

Well I wish I could take credit for the work but actually my man Stewart Light did it.
The weight is around 22 ounces and the san mai III steel has superior edge retention and corrosion resistance compared to regular high carbon steel because the inner layer is rock hard. You can read more about it here.

Yea the rubber handle does seem like a tacky finish to an otherwise great knife and the roughness of it will cause you blisters during prolonged use. :jerkit:
My handle is very smooth and because of the shape it is very secure in the hand and does not slip even without a lanyard.
