COLD STEEL HATAMOTO IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?i

I just read the rules for this place the other day and discovered that we aren't supposed to dealfind,so I'll just say there are cheaper places. Also I 've handled one of those and, even being a Cold Steel tanto fan, it leaves me cold

finder, I'm glad you understand that deal-spotting is a problem, but if someone asks about a specific item, it is OK to discuss it, even to the point of providing a link to a good source.

We're only strict about people popping up and announcing their favorite website has a GREAT DEAL on a FANTASTIC KNIFE and turning us into a community bulletin board for free advertising.

Bladeforums is so large that we would make a tempting target for otherwise unsolciited deals.

I think that the Hatamoto is a tough knife with good steel. $250 to you means something different than $250 to somebody else so it is hard to say whether or not it will be worth it for you.

Personally, I prefer the Caledonian Edge and Talwar Folder to the Hatamoto.

The Talwar looks like the wayward offspring of their old Scimitar. I would go for the Caledonian Edge, though. It's got the cleanest lines of that whole series.

I am a CS fan but thats to much money for me. I have yet to see a knife worth 250.00. To me.

i dont know of many cold steal products worth $250 though i have seen boatloads of knives which are worth $250, none were a CS knife though lol.

Just checked a couple other dealer sites and the Cutlery Shoppe actually has the lower price. Both places I checked were out of stock with one place saying that it would be 2008 before they were due to arrive.
