The Gunsite II folder is a very similar knife, with very similar performance---for only about a fourth of the Hatamoto's street price.
There are significantly better options at the two C-note price range than the Hatamoto. I'm not arguing that Cold Steel makes an inferior product---I've handled several Black Sables and other high-end knives. If they cost about as much as a Spyderco Police or Military, they might even be viable options to add to my collection. That being said, look around. Zero Tolerance, Microtech, Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, Fallkniven, Bark River...the list is endless...offer excellent and better knives at this price range.
I think it is a hard task to find a knife more functional and designed for cutting than a Spyderco. Despite its great cutting power, it was never designed to cut other metal. If I want to do that, I use the metal saw on my Gerber 600-series DET multitool.
I believe any Benchmade or Spyderco could easily replicate the performance of Cold Steel's knives in their videos. And they are made in the United States of America (although I note the OP is in the Phillippines, and therefore this may not be an issue like it is for some of us if he's not a U.S. citizen).
If you have your heart set on Cold Steel, I would recommend the X2 Voyager, the Vaquero Grande, or the Rajah II---all big-time cutters, more economical prices, and very impressive.
Good luck.
