cold steel hawk mods

hello all , ive got two norse hawks and would like to tinker and modify one or both of them to make them easier to use and more functional as a survival tool/ weapon. dare i use the word "tactical". plus i would like to give them a more unique appearance. any advice would be very helpful . thanks in advance.

Myself, I refinished the handle on my frontier hawk to a nice walnut, shortened it about 2-1/2" or so and used steel wool to take the gloss off the paint. Small stuff, but it made a big difference in look and feel. Good luck.

those hawks look really awesome !! thanks for the info, ireally appreciate it. im probably gonna go with lots of para cord for the handle and probably a nice thick lanyard. how do you wrap the handles like that bye the way?

Hi gutsy. I used about 20 ft. (4 or 5 arm pulls) of paracord on those wraps. The wrap is a hangman's noose, sometimes called a Chris Reeve knot. Post some pics when your done!
