Those of you who (like me) get a charge out of seeing Cold Steel on the silver screen will enjoy the new movie 12 Strong. Lead actor Chris Hemsworth, who portrays real-life Green Beret Mark Nutsch in the film, wears an SRK strapped to the shoulder harness of his load-bearing equipment. Its prominent placement keeps it on-screen throughout most of the movie. In fact, it's even clearly visible on the movie poster!
Actor Trevante Rhodes also wears an SRK similarly positioned on his LBE harness, as seen in this movie poster.
Unfortunately, we never get to see any knives put to use, even for mundane chores. Still, it's nice to see Hollywood using more Cold Steel. The movie takes a lot of liberties with the facts as I understand them, but it's worthwhile and entertaining viewing.
