I know most of their knives are made in Taiwan. Some Japan. Which ones are from Japan? Or USA? Or somewhere that isn't Taiwan or China? Now don't get me wrong, Cold Steel seems to have somn damn good blades, but I don't like the idea of spending good money just to see "Taiwan" on the blade. I'm sure they have good quality control, but it's just a personal preference of mine.

Thats all I own, they're all fairly decent knives for the money.

Braveheart - Japan
American Lawman - Taiwan
Ti Lite - Taiwan
Tomahawks - Taiwan
Kukri Machete - South Africa (IIRC)

I think that the older Carbon V models were made by Camillus in the U.S., but I'm not sure.

All their knives are produced by other manufacturers. They don't make anything in house "by Cold Steel employees" that I am aware of. As for identifying which ones are made where, it's quite a lot of work as they have dozens and dozens of models.

Whatever ones are made in Japan is what im looking for, really.
If you have any Japanese made Cold Steels, comment

What do you want to know? They were good knives, I liked the original line of voyagers, still have one. I will say that the newer Taiwanese made examples seem just as well made, possibly better regarding grind/edge symmetry etc.

I believe all the ones with VG1 San Mai are made in Japan.
