Cold Steel Kobun Opinions?

The CS Kobun recently caught my eye. I'm not much of a CS fan, but I like the look of the Kobun, simple as it may be. I'm also interested in a general/light use FB of a decent length that won't cost too much.

Does the Kobun seem like a good fit for me? At this price point I can almost justify buying it if just to add to my collection (since I just like the way it looks), but it would also be good to know how well you think it would handle basic chores such as breaking down boxes, light yardwork, puncturing zombie skulls, etc. (hope nobody takes that last one seriously :D).

Thoughts?

I own one of the older 4116 krupp steel Kobuns. This steel is soft but get very sharp. Afaik the new ones are made of Aus-8 steel wich is a decent steel. Nevertheless imho it is not a very good choice for basic chores. The CS Pendleton Hunter or the Roach Belly could be better in this role.

I have a Made in Japan version with the AUS8 blade steel and OES kydex sheath. Great all purpose tool, takes a razor edge, light, and easy to carry, tough as nails!

I've got the Kobun and 2 versions of the Oyabun and I think they're very cool knives but I agree that they're not ideal as general utility or camping knives. [I hate camping! In fact that's why I could never go to war, as war has sometimes been described as an extended camping trip.]
