Cold Steel Kopis Machete Modification

The blade came with a very murderous point, but I decided to make it more combat worthy.








This point now drives deep and effortlessly into soft targets. I will not try it on wood, it would probably deform pretty bad. Any thoughts? Was this a good or bad idea in your opinion?
 
Looks nice and stabby. Takes away from the chopping capabilities of the machete though. That tip seems kind of fragile.
 
It has lightened the blade noticably, shifts the balance towards the handle a bit, increasing the ease of thrusting. I don't really use it as a machete anymore, becasue of problems I had with the blade bending on larger targets (thick trees). More of a "sword" honestly. I do not intend on stabbing or cutting anything besides an aggressor, I'd think this modification would serve that purpose well in a home invasion situation. (Morbid to think about, I know) :eek:
 
That will %&*+ up a home intruder. So can I expect you to be leaving your doors unlocked and waiting in the kitchen with that every night now?
