Greetings all.Yesterday I was shown the new Cold Steel Kukri machete and imagine my surprise on seeing on the label made in South Africa.Quality is too fine a word to use , rather I shall say finish and even that was poor. The edge had been put own with a fairly coarse grind and had curled for about 2 " .I suppose I cant expect much for the equivilent of US$ 30 and a Cold Steel sticker. We have some great knifemakers here in SA but this thing was agricultural.
Cheers Mike

They're built to a price thats why the poor finish. $30 is actually double to triple what you can get them for in North America.

I paid $7 for the panga two and a half years ago.

If you keep your eyes peeled, you can get a HI khuk blem for around the same price... a far superior tool anyday.
