Cold Steel Kukri Machete?

I'm in the market for a new knife and the CS kukri caught my eye. I have no reason for a machete or a kukri but I don't have any knives over ~4" so I consider that enough reason to get something bigger:D

Anyway, how does the kukri perform? I will probably use it for cutting and some batoning/chopping. Also what do people think of the sheath it comes with? How hard would it be to touch up the edge with a sharpmaker?

The machetes are all very good and the sheaths are horrible bordering on acceptable. They also come with stickers that you have to remove with lighter fluid, and you have to tear off as much as you can because the label is water resistant.
 
I have a CS Khukri Machete. It's a good chopper. Plus it's dirt cheap. On the other hand, I would not buy the CS Khukri knife -- much more expensive and I recall a photo and some discussion here about them breaking while chopping.
 
Well, it depends on the knife. Why Lynn Thompson would make a Kukri machete out of San Mai stainless is madness. Who buys those expensive machetes, anyway? If I had one, it would be for show. I certainly wouldn't haul it to the Everglades as my primary knife.

The Rajah is a fine knife, though. It's not going to win any beauty contests, but there's no getting around its strengths. I wish they'd put out a Rajah III with a decent carbon steel blade. (Andrew, if you read this, how about running this by LT?) There's just something about huge AUS8 blades that sort of leaves me cold. If it were 440C, that would be even better!

I'd buy a lot more of CS's machetes if they didn't have those miserable stickers on the blades. Why not do it like Sturm, Ruger, and just stamp it into the product? It's also somewhat disingenuous to say the blades are sharp when they almost all uniformly come with edges that are about as sharp as the spines!
