I picked up three cold steel factory seconds. the cold steel markingd were ground off but having owned a ghurka kukri and an ltc model I know that two of the models are those. they are I dentical. the third model is made in the usa also but is longer than both the ghurka and ltc. it is about as thick as the ltc but longer. it is also much heavier because it is saber ground instead of a full flat grind. the blade is pretty wide. does anyone know anything about this model? thanks

A long time ago CS had the LTC ( Lite Terrain Chopper) and an HTC (Heavy Terrain Chopper), Might be one of those. Also the LTC has been made in both 1/8th and 3/16ths thicknesses in both saber ground and flat ground styles. They have also had a Mini GTC with a 10 inch blade as well as a clip point version at one time. put up pics if you can..The old stuff was good quality and you might have something that cant be found anymore.

I also just picked up some of these. I just went through all the back catalogs dating back to 2003-2009, and then the 1996-1997 catalog, and I couldn't find any LTC's that had 1/8" thick blades after 2003 . I have what looks to be an LTC, looks to have a 1/8" thick blade. Did they start making them like that toward the end? It looks like an newer one by the pictures, but the tang stamp is in a different place than the catalog pics (then again, I know how catalogs can be with pictures).

My carbon V LTC had a blade thickness of 0.187" flat ground.
