Cold Steel Leather Tanto Sheath Needed

Hi everyone.....am new to this site. Please also note that I am in the UK.

I currently have a Cold Steel vintage Tanto with 5.75" blade. I need an original sheath and happy to pay. Can anyone help please? thanks
 
They are very hard to come by. I have been trying without luck to get a custom sheath maker to copy one. Good luck. I have made kydex models but not leather.

Yup…..it does seem so. So managed to find other vintage CS with the leather sheaths so buying them in the meantime……which will get expensive!!!!
 
I just bought a knife and custom sheath from a Bladeforum member named Bill Ahearn and he is Duramax on the forum. I got this Busse TGLB Forsaken model and the sheath is from Ahearn. It is very high quality and I contacted him about making sheath for the CS Tanto. He can do it but needs a Tanto as a pattern. I can send him one to use. I was wondering if you and I can come up with a design / designs that works for both of us we can save time by having him make several at a time. I mentioned this to him and told him I would get back to him after the holidays.

So if this sounds good to you, I would like to know what you want in a sheath for your CS Tanto? Do you want it to be just like the originals or manybe something different? I am OK with either or both. I was thinking of maybe a inside the waistband that draws from the right side with the edge forward. Are you right handed? What do you think about this idea?

Duramax messaged me back and said that he has a CS Master Tanto and can use it to make a sheath so I asked him some of the same questions I asked you about designs. Original copy vs something new and asked if he had any suggestions as well. I will keep you informed of any contacts I have with him. Feel free to contact him yourself and if you want to and let him know that you are the guy I told him about, who may also be interested in this project.
