Cold Steel Left Carry Pocket Clip Discussion

OK guys here is the quick tldr on the lefty clip situation. We are going to start including the left carry clips moving forward. New production runs will start including the extra clip as we once did. On new development knives, we will either provide an ambidextrous clip or a left carry clip depending on the design and model.

We know there are many of you with knives out there that may need a left carry clip, so for the interim my plan is to set up a direct e-mail that will go directly to my team (for clip requests only). I will post instructions on how to request a clip once I have the email box setup properly.

Currently in stock we have left carry clips for the Recon 1. However, as you guys submit your request for left clips, we will do our best to track down the requested clips and send them to you. This will be a temporary fix until the majority of our “currently in production” items are received and put in stock. Items that are currently in production have already been adjusted to add the extra clip.

I will post the e-mail link once I have it set up in our system.

Also, if your team ever wants any feedback or ideas on Cold Steel products, feel free to post a thread asking.

I have a ton of products and use them regularly. One of my favorite things about the lineup is the diversity and high value for the return on quality.
 
Good news! The many fully ambi designs will be appealing to lefties again. I’ve always thought that to be a strong suit of CS. Truly ambi controls are somewhat rare, usually the lock being less LH friendly. Even if it’s just reestablishing the old standard, supplying both clips is a step in the right direction, and I’ll take it.

A member posted an issue, a Cold Steel rep read that post, and now it appears that issue will be addressed.

This willingness to listen to customers and address their needs is exactly what this sub-form, and the Cold Steel brand needs.

I appreciate that you, Mr. Cazin, have chosen to continue to participate in this forum and address this issue.

I see this as a first step, but it's a step in the right direction. I hope it continues.
 
Hope we continue to see you on this sub-forum. Just a thought….maybe you can join Stickman on a few CS vids. I’m sure many of us are eager to see the 2023 product line-up video, perhaps you can make a celebrity appearance;).

I have maybe 4-5 knives that came w/o a left clip. Can I put them all in one request?
 
Bump for those in need. I also didn’t want to steer anyone in the wrong direction because this seems to be a process set up solely for pocket clips, but it’s a reality that people lose parts when they clean and repair/maintain their Cold Steel so this contact might be worth asking about spare parts. I don’t think they’ll have pins and things like that available right away but maybe moving forward they’ll have a cache of spares they can keep on hand, like someone else mentioned doing extra knives for parts to provide to customers in need. Idk. Worth a try
