Anybody got one of these ?

I've never owned or handled any Spartan model .

This is certainly a serous upgrade in materials . G10 and S35VN !

Not wild about the serrations on this kind of knife . Can't really chop .

Not my favorite style of handle, either , but I'm still tempted at the sub $140 price point, I see available right now . ;)

Don't ask , don't tell where . 🤯

I have one of the older Spartans, AUS8 before they added a texture to the grip scales. To be honest I had always thought that the Spartan was one of the ugliest looking knives Cold Steel had ever produced. When I purchased mine they were on sale so I thought what the heck and ordered it. What a pleasant surprise. This knife was built like a tank. Bomb proof! And that odd looking handle fit my hand perfectly (I wear XL gloves).

I'll dither for awhile , maybe they'll sell out meanwhile . ;)

Just put in my order with , I believe , the most turbulent mix of emotion I've ever had ...simply ordering a knife .

Gonna just leave it at that for now, and wait till I can handle the knife... and repair myself from this mood of mourning a loss .

Never liked the original. Didn't like the plastic handles or the steel used. The limited edition is awesome IMO. I do own one.

Received mine today ...and WOW ! :)

Much nicer than I imagined .

The grip space is generous enough that my small side of med, mens size hand has plenty of room to maneuver .

Rapid grip changes are not a problem for my size . Huge paws ...maybe be more trapped .

The handle two solid slabs of nicely textured G10 . Reminds me of the Bush Ranger folder .

Grip is fantastic . Very well designed and built for fighting or other hard use .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Pics later as time allows .

The Spartan, immortal are all ones I have been on the side of....No! Hmmmm. The s35vn version did make me look again, especially at that price.
Nothing wrong with aus10, I think it's underrated anyway.... Everyone like a limited edition 🤪

Late to the party here... Congrats on the new knife! I bought one late last year. It's in its box somewhere :) , I forgot the exact SN on it. Keeping it unused. The prices right now I am seeing have almost doubled from when I bought it. I think you jumped at the perfect time.

Theoretically , I resolved to only buy knives I would USE , long ago .

I've not done too well with actually doing so , however . ;)

I'm intending to use this Spartan, at least lightly . It is my only Spartan, and I kind of like it already .

But ...we'll see . I always have trouble getting past that first scratch etc .

If you like it, I suggest getting the standart spartan if you see it at a good price. I think it ranks near the 4 max scout in strength and makes a pretty good hard use knife. And you could justify making the LT edition a safe queen😁

Speaking of it, I would have bought if it wasn't 450 bucks where I live AND if it was without the serrations. I tried fully serrated and it is not my cup of tee.

Agreed. The standard Spartan is around 100 bucks or less if you shop around. Plain edge is just more practical 99% of the time.

You did GOOD ! 🥳
Yeah, DocJD mentioned the good pricing in the beginning here. I checked around and believe that's gone now. I checked because after reading that, I had thoughts of adding a second one to the collection.

For me, this Limited Edition Spartan feels close to a custom. The G-10 is shaped and textured just right and the slight extra blade weight, along with the overall fit and finish completes things. The serrated edge doesn't bother me. I won't be going to war with a bunch of cardboard - or tree limbs. Also LT talks about it's upgraded effectiveness in a defensive situation.

Anyone know just how many were produced?

that's gone now.
Yup ! Sorry, but those kind of deals don't last long . 😭

Gotta jump or just let 'em go . ;)

Not sure but maybe the run was 5000 ? Don't quote me .

Somebody knows for certain and might answer ?

Above thread contains a post that says only 3000 were made !

I'd guess that's right .
