Just thought I'd post this great little slipjoint from cold steel

s35vn and cf - seems great value for only $50
...
However, the nail nick really bothers me... if they had an option for a long pull straight line pull I'd honestly buy 3 or 4 of these I think.

What do you think? Am I being overly picky?

I think it's a real nice looking knife myself. I don't kno much about CS , so any reports on walk and talk and edge holding would be kool.

I have the two blade version and i love it. The fact that it is a nail nick slippy is the reason i bought it. Our laws only allow knives like this to be carried.

Really cool little knife. The nail nick doesn't bother me (although I too would prefer a long pull), but I don't think you are being overly picky. I ended up getting rid of mine simply because I didn't like the etching on the blade (and also thought it would be better with a full-flat grind). I thought long and hard about sending it in to have the blade reground to make it ffg and to get rid of the etching, but in the end I just couldn't justify spending that much on such a low cost knife. I wish they would redesign the pocket clip too now that I think about it. Removing it isn't really an option with the way the clip is currently inset in the scales.

I think it would look strange with that curved blade and a straight pull. To each their own. I just pinch it open anyway.
It is a great deal though! I have only had one for a little while since I got it in a package deal, so I cant tell you much about it. It seems nice, and it is pretty. I like it so far.

Nice picture by the way.

I had the two bladed version, but had to return it.

Bad grinds and poor geometry.
