Cold Steel Master Hunter Restoration?

Try some Fitz polish or some case paste. I use a polishing wheel for my hand drill. You will be able to get it off without having to sent it anywhere. Just type drill polishing wheel into a search engine. Put some of the paste on the blade, and buff away.

No, it's not a good idea.
While the picture leaves a lot to be desired, it appears that there is pitting. This will have to be removed by an abrasive process that is much coarser than Flitz on a drill-powered buffing wheel.
Again- see what the manufacturer will do for you.

Honestly I would scrub with a nylon scourer, oil it sharpen it and leave it as is.
But it would be easy eonugh to refinish with light sandpaper, I'd start at about 400 and decide if you want to go lower or higher grit. Use a hard flat backer and go for it.. Ive reground my old master hunter on the linsher a few times there is plenty of steel on the master hunter to play around with the finish without destroying it.

Looks just like my old Carbon V Master Hunter. I'll bet it will need more than Flitz and polishing. I sanded.

Unfortunately you likely won't get a response from GSM.

You may have to use wet/dry sandpaper and work through a series of course to fine grits.

Tape up the handle, as it won't like the paper.

Another option is to reach out to a maker here on BladeForums to see if they can work on if it is valuable to you.

Hard to tell from the photo if there's pitting. If not, just clean the blade and use it. My MH in Carbon V is mottled after several memorable hunts, all good memories, and perfectly usable.

I'm not familiar with Cold Steel's customer service.
I restore knives, and my advice is to leave it alone. It would cost as much as the knife is worth to have it properly refinished. The knife is entirely functional as is.
You can sand on it, and attempt a polishing job-but it's likely the knife will look worse than when you started. Most people don't have the skill to properly refinish a knife. This is not meant as an insult, but the truth.
