Here is a great folder with solid lockup and scary sharp 3 1/2 in. persian blade made of AUS8 steel. The other materials incorporated into this blade make it it light and strong. This feels great in the hand and carries nicely in pocket.

Cool, actually looks kinda EDC'able. I had a large one, traded it because it was just too damn big to ever EDC.

If I'm correct, the 3 1/2 inch bladed Espada is the 'small' version. Nice looking blades, the Espada series.

J.Davey, It's called the "Medium" version by CS, and it really isn't "small," by my definition, anyway, but they do have three sizes, Med., Lg., and XL, so this is in fact the smallest of the three Espadas.

As an admitted CS fanboy (at 42 yrs. of age, I'll even embrace an insult to be called a boy again), I want one, but haven't pulled the trigger b/c I'm mad they keep making them with AUS8 instead of CS's VG-10 composite which they call San Mai III.

Still, niko, it's a beautiful knife and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. A lot of CS haters about, but just speaking for myself, I've owned a bunch, used and abused some, and they've never disappointed me. Congrats.

Persian blade?!?!?! That's a SPANISH typical blade. Why do you think it's called Espada which is Spanish for sword? Cool knife though, how much would it cost?

Yeah, the word Espada is Spanish, and the knife is intended to be Spanish in appearance, but the blade looks an awful lot like the Talwar's, which was supposed to be all "Ali Baba," Persian, Ottoman Turk looking, at least in terms of the upswept blade edge. I love both designs, though.

I agree ! Wish these had the san mai steel. Of course the cost would be much more.

I'm working my way through the series.

Got an XL Espada after the April OKCA show.

Will be receiving the Large next week.

Will be ordering the medium before the end of the year.

I had the M and L. I gave the M away to the security guard at my old apartment. Just recently sold my L which had seen 4 months of carry, but barely kitchen use... for $100. No worries. The M was too small. The L was too big and for its size, should have had at least a 3/16" blade thickness. The perfect compromise will be the custom Demko folder (he wants me to call it a Navajah, since Espada is TM'd by CS) with a sharpened length of 4.5" from .200" CPM154. The construction will be the same but Ti will be substituted for T7075 Al.
