Cold Steel Norse Hawk Review

I like reviews like this where the item being reviewed is obviously well used and the talk is just straight forward honest observations.

Great review, thanks! I have a Norse Hawk and just recently got a Frontier Hawk. I ended up sharpening the Frontier hawk to hair-shaving sharpness, gave it a bit of a convex edge and cut down the handle to about 16". It's so light and small I can easily tuck it behind my belt now, and it works great for limbing, making wedges, sharpening stakes, etc. During our last camping trip I tried using it for knife tasks and it did a decent job, even when dealing with food and such. Didn't even have to take the head off the haft, the short handle made it very manageable. If you don't need to do any serious chopping, a hawk with a short handle seems to work really well.
