Hi all,
I am looking at picking up the Cold Steel O Tanto, Warrior Series. Does anyone have any honest experience with it, quality, etc.? I just love the pics. It looks like a real beautiful blade. But though I won't be hacking through tree limbs or zombies, I don't want a wall hanger. I do want to know that it is functional. Just my thing I guess.
Thanks!!

An owner of one of the more well known knife shops owns and personally recomends this tanto. His rational is at the bottom of the discription. This is one of the few that is not on backorder, I think. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles so it is very reasonably priced as well.

I found it painful to use. The tsuba would chew up my hand. And it was too heavy for what it was. I didn't care for it. I later was able to get a Rob Criswell O Tanto for not much more and have been far more happy with it in every aspect.

At the same price point, I was much more impressed with Hanwei's offerings. Nicer fittings, differentially hardened blades... etc.
