So
They are running these ads on the radio here in The 805 that sounds like a monster truck event ad!!!
Has anyone been to the CS parking lot sale in the past?
Are there any good deals?
Seeing as how gas is now 4.43 a gallon===>
I want to make sure it's worth it to drive the 45 minuted to Ventura

I went to one about a year and a half ago. It's basically a get-rid-of-old-crap sale, and you could also buy current lineup items at OK prices. The only real deals were on used throwing tomahawks and knives, and a few old discontinued items. Thompson actually talks and acts like a normal person in real life. For current items, you probably won't save any money. It is OK if you want to see and handle stuff in person, something I do less and less as I rely more on the internet. Which is nice, especially if you're looking at one of their odder products which may not hit the shelves in the local brick and mortar stores.

Nah...

Too far for me, especially at today's gas prices. I'm in Santa Maria, and an hour and a half drive for Cold Steel just ain't worth it. Besides, I'll end up spending money from my Kershaw budget, and we just can't have that! I'll wait for the Ventura Gun Show in June or July, that way I can feed two addictions at once.

Trent, where in the 805 are you that gas is $4.43? Maybe you burn the good stuff. I filled up (almost) with 87 in Goleta for $4.01 a gallon.

Thanks for the low down Shecky!!!
I might go anyways and check out the hotties at the beach afterwards

Ekarski====>
The Glenn Annie Road Mobil station is $4.43:thumbdn:
In Solvang it is about 30 cents a gallon cheaper:thumbup:
I live in Goleta
I drive to Solvang every week for a part time side job I have
I go to Santa Maria and Lompoc every few months to check out the thrift shops
I mostly am looking for original art and knives

Have you been to the Santa Maria flea market?
Is it big?
I was thinking of going there one weekend.....

Haven't been to the SM Swap Meet, but I hear it's pretty good. It's been compared to SLO Swap Meet; a buyer's swap meet, so get there early. I've been to the Nipomo Swap Meet, but good deals are few, and far between.

Got gas today at the station on Turnpike across from IHOP.

They were selling bushman seconds, that I couldn't see anything wrong with for 15 bucks, which I think is about the price you could find on the internet.
tho.
and if I had more money to burn right now, I would of got bought more, but I left rather cheaply with the smaller boar spear and a couple throwers.

the best deal I think was the polypropylene african walking stick, it was $15, also picked up some old twistmaster and the old style (paracord) warhead, I always wanted a warhead when they were first available, just never got around to getting one.
